I have a bunch of duplicate 1920 and 20/26 rifles that I am going to sell later this year. Tell me what you want, specifically, and I'll you if I have it (that's a joke, of course I have it!) and a ballpark of what I will be asking for it.

There are two on Gunsamerica auctions now. One is in 25-20 and the other is in 250-3000.

Getting a 1920 or a 20/26 to feed a 25-20 would require the magic touch of a real old-time 'smith. It must be a 23, not a 20.

The rifle that is pictured appears to be a 20/26, note the swept back bolt handle and Lyman #54 bolt mounted peep sight.

That is a Savage Model 23 B or C, I can't remember which is the 32-20 and which is the 25-20.

Me too! Me too!

Jeff,

I'm still looking for a 'condition' rifle. Any of those potential duplicates going to have 'condition'? (Any better'n 80%, no holes, especially in the wood? Varnish finish?)

My best rifle is an early .300, about 80%, but has a tiny gold shield inlet in the stock over the right side magazine. The person's gold shield-making and inletting skills were less than stellar. It looks like someone tried to 'sharpen' the right pistol grip checkering, at some point. I want to top that.

If you are selling MORE than one with that kind of 'condition', I'm going to need time to get my truck sold...

Whenever you start to sell let me know. I am looking for a shooter .250 and if it is D&T that is OK too. I may even want to scope one for giggles. I balme the whole 20 thing totaly on Larry Koller

I guess I need to build up a good collection of shooters before advancing to the "condition" guns. That way I coulod refrain from shooting the good ones.

Jeff, whenever you pull out the boxes with the parts in them after the move I need:

20-198 safety push rod
20-209 sear spring
20-205 sear
20-279 trigger

Thanks!

Am also looking for a Model 20 to use on Pa Whitetail either in 250 or 300. Prefer 250 for deer. Condition of stock and metal exterior is not critical. Must function and shoot good enough for hitting intended target. Scoped would be a plus but not essential. Thanks.

The LPR Gunsmithing .300 was sold to someone in Texas. Anyone here get it?

I know this post is more than a couple years old just wondering how this Model 20 looks to you guys? Just bought it last week, and not very familiar with them.

I guess the pictures were added?

Looks alright.

The Model 20 was the one Savage rifle that was TOO far ahead of it's time. It's very accurate and highly sought after. smile

What caliber and for how much scratch? And what's the serial number range?
