I had Lightfoot send me a mount a while back, and just recently got some 100-grain Core-Lokts to try in what had been a moderately accurate rifle.
I went to the range yesterday and I was hugely impressed; can't wipe the grin off my face. The rifle is a 1947 EG in .250-3000 with a 2-7X Leupold in a Lightfoot mount, and the load is the 100-grain Core-Lokt over Reloder 15, about a grain below max.
The first group was 1.5 inches from a cold, clean barrel. The next two were sub-MOA, and the last few rounds I fired at the 200-yard target, where due to shooter error, they grouped about 4-odd inches for 6 shots. Best two groups at 100 yards were 7/8-inches and 1/2-inches. I put dimes in the pictures for comparison.
So thanks again, Lightfoot; not only was the deal quick and easy, but the mount works like gangbusters!

I am unfamiliar with a Lightfoot scope mount, what are the details?

Lightfoot, a site member here, modifies standard 1-piece Leupold Savage 99 mounts by welding and machining. He adds a dovetail block to fit the rear sight slot and an extension to fit over the peep-sight holes in the tang. Using this mount you can mount a scope of your choice on older 99's without drilling and tapping, and the cost is less than a used Stith mount, generally. It may not have that vintage look, but boy howdy, it works. And I think it does look pretty slick, too.
