I must admit to coveting/wanting to copy Romac's 1899 with the birdseye maple stock since first seeing a picture of it.

I also can't resist the look of the perch-belly's, and I wanted to try my hand at a pistol grip behind a straight lever...so I stuck 'em all on one gun!

I don't quite like the comb the way it is, but I'm letting my wrists and eyes rest a little before changing anything else.

And that horse matches the gun perfectly!

I have to enjoy the bare wood for a while before I start thinking about checkering. That will give me time to replace my beat-up old checkering cutters.
