Why doesn't it have a step in the barrel where the rear sight mounts? I thought all F's had that. Rebarrel?

None of the .284s ever had the sight boss in any model.

For a decent condition cut checkered, 284, I would have thought that was a very fair price bordering a very good deal.

Somebody better jump right on that baby. They don't come along every day. Especially with that compass. It will help you find your way to that aged recoil pad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
