Well, yes for a regular later 99F I would agree, but this is the fabled 1964 1/2 284F, the sub set of the sub set of the sub category of 99F's!!!! grin laugh laugh

Why doesn't it have a step in the barrel where the rear sight mounts? I thought all F's had that. Rebarrel?
None of the .284s ever had the sight boss in any model.
Thanks. I wasn't aware of that. I don't see a lot of 284s either.

BROUGHT A GOOD DOLLAR
Looked like a buy to me, rather have it at that price than the clip c model at $1200. as they have been pricing them. Just needed little TLC and Snake Oil. GW

For a decent condition cut checkered, 284, I would have thought that was a very fair price bordering a very good deal.

Not that I really know any better, but does the barrel look awful thick to anybody else?

Looks alittle strange. Maybe just an optical illusion.
Looks thick and long but must be poor photo work I guess?

Looks like the muzzle end is fat. Muzzle brake maybe?
