OK. Not sure if I should put here first, but going to anyway. I have the above gun that I would like to trade for or against a Savage 99EG in 250-3000 or a Savage 99F(50's era) in 250-3000. Not looking for a collector, but a nice looking shooter. I don't have a dollar figure ready yet. PM me with details. If I am out of line here, let me know and I will take this to the classifieds. Just wanted to give you guys here first crack at it. You have all been very kind over the years sharing your knowledge. Pics should tell all. Thanks.

I don't have a problem with someone posting a for sale or wanted
on the forum. I know some guys get touchy about it. but I'm ok with it. JMO

good luck

Thanks guys.

One trade I might add is Savage 99A saddle gun in 250-3000.
Nice looking rifle, and I see it has the Lyman 54 sight.

I see nothing wrong with offering a trade among the group, by the way. I'd like to see more of this sort of thing in fact.

Rifle Jim.
Nice. All I have is a pre-war 99R in 250/3000, the EG has since be sold.

Jeez. Wish I "only" had a pre war R in 250/3000

Hard to be you...

grin

I have a mint 250 prewar R, problem was to nice to shoot. Had to find another one in shooter grade to hunt with. Life is full of tough Savage 99 choices. cry wink smile GW
Nice rifle Jim. You're offering a sweet deal. Just the sight on that rifle is worth the price of admission.
I noticed that the receiver is not cut out for a stripper clip & the barrel does not look like it has a dovetail which could suggest a 1920-26, does the stock seem to be a little different from other 1920's?
Believe that is a 20/26

Can't see serial number, that would tell fur sure
