Yes, the pines trees on the left of the image are going as they pose a potential problem come winter.
We plan on introducing more deciduous and fruit trees like apple and pear, and various berry bushes to the property thereby reducing the amount of pines.
When I was a kid, we used to visit relatives near Fredricton almost every summer and those trips usually included a trout fishing trip to the soutwest branch of the Miramichi. We would haul a couple of elderly Chestnut-brand wood/canvas canoes fifteen or twenty miles upstream from the Bolesville and float back downstream, trout fishing all the way. Great fun, great memories.
Bloomfield Ridge is just up around the bend from Boiestown, Jeff. The Main Southwest Branch runs a 1000 feet behind the property.
You know the water and the terroir then. I'm looking forward to going upstream for brookies in the Renous and the Dungarvon with a yet un-fished 3 weight bamboo flea flicker.
Ya gotta love lightweight split bamboo fly rods, Bert! What will you use for salmon? I would be happy with a tent on the Miramichi, let alone a beautiful place like that! Envious here!
