My son's favorite rifle is his Savage 243. He has shot ever animal to date with this rifle. Axis, Oryx, aoudad, whitetail and black buck. The problem is he was 11 when I bought it and it has a small ladies stock on it. I need to get a new one to fit a 17Y/o.
Anyone have one for sale? Just a standard wood stock for a model 10.

Have You looked a Boyd's? They have a good selection of styles and finishes.

How about adding a thick solid recoil pad? If you want to save some money try a slip on or leather lace up recoil pad. I think the leather pads look fine on anything.

I haven't tried Boyds and I will look at recoil pads. Thank you both.
