David's book table shows LBCs ending at Y for 1971, but what is the highest LBC that anyone here has actually observed, V maybe?

I have a Savage Stevens 940E made in Westfield with no serial number, but is stamped 55V, which I believe would be 1968, probably just before the Gun Control Act. That is right at the time I got it new.

I have never seen a W, X or Y stamped date code.

I have data on W, X and Y (A68xxxx, early 1971). These are all on rifles with A Series serials.

I also have a 940E stamped 57V, also a 170 pump stamped 23X and it has the A serial#.
