Was minding my own buisness at Cabela's today and what did I find? A 99E in 243! I've been looking for a 99 that I can mount a scope on, and dreadfully regretting passing up a like new 99C(?) in 243 a couple years ago. So brought this one home for 600 without scope and rings. How did I do? SN: 1017xxx LBC: 10M

My wife hunts with a 99E in 243. It has killed every deer that she has taken a shot at. I would say you did fine, especially at Cabelas.

I have loaded for three different 99s in 243. That caliber has been my most consistently accurate 99
