I passed my last hunting knife on to my Grandson, and decided to make myself a new one. I had a blade that I had rough ground years ago and for some reason set aside. Of all the knives I've made over the years this design is probably my favorite. The blade is CPM S30V and the handle is ivory with mosaic pins. I haven't decided how I will mark it yet since I'm no longer using Twin Blades.

Thanks for the comments! I decided to go with a new logo on this one. All that is left is a final clean up and sharpening after I make the sheath for it. Then it will ride my hip till the Lord says my time is up...

What do you use to mark the blade?

“A thing of beauty is a joy forever!” Unless you loose it, that’ll last way after you’ve gone. Nice clean lines but elegant.

We use an electro chemical marking machine. Mine is about 25 years old and still working. I don't remember the name of it right off hand, but there are tons of choices out there as well as directions for making your own.

I found that most of the companies I contacted, that sell the markers, want you to buy the stencils from them. That was years ago, don't know if they have the same attitude. We make our own and they work fine.
