I recently looked at a knife from Gerber that I really liked. It's the Wallowa Stag Caper with fixed blade. It uses 7Cr17 stainless steel for the blade. Could you guys give me some info. on this particular blade material? Thanks guys. Also, your thoughts on the knife itself would be appreciated too. Thanks again.
Helloooooooooo?
According to Gerber it is a 440 stainless equivilent steel.

Compare to similar stats and find a similar steel. I've found it to be kind of obscure and don't have a handle on it myself. Hope it helps you.
Thanks man. It's a good looking knife that appeals to me. I like smaller blades, fixed, and drop point.
Thank you...it does help me. Looks like it compares to 440A.
