I am finishing up my first two knives but need a little inspiration. I would like to see some pictures of your knives doing just what they are supose to do getting bloody.
You doing stock removal, forging or kit knives as your first ones?
Right now I am just trying to learn the craftsmanship skills and shaping technics so I bought a couple files, a grinder and a sander. I am almost finished with both and the second is way better then the first. These are gifts for my father and FIL this Christmas so I should have pictures up next week. I was inspired to make them from some of the file knives I saw here.
Nice knives, looks like you have been giving them a workout.
The knife in the picture is a Dunn. The specs are Small Game & Bird: 2 " x " blade. 6 " overall but when I ordered I asked for it to be larger if possible and the one I recieved has a overall length of 7" and the cutting edge is 2 3/4 inches. the steel is S90V.
Mine isn't bloody, took the pic before I got to working. This is a MichiganRoadKill knife, and I will second the "dam fine blade" comment from pasport.
I normally don't butcher my game where they lay but today I felt a little frisky and having already dragged a deer 200 yards this guy got it done. I don't know who made this knife my cousin gave it to me about 10 years ago and I found it again this summer. Its handmade and made quick work of this guys thick hide.
