I've been coveting this knife for awhile. I passed through the Bagram PX and saw they had several available for a decent price, so when I was back there this week to catch a flight I broke out the credit card.

What exactly is the "auto" and how does it work?

Pull back on the Axis Lock and it opens.

I use the same knife as a daily carry knife, love it!!!

FVA- The Presidio is very nice in Benchmade's regular opening version as well. I don't think you can go wrong with their Axis-Lock system in a working lockblade. Very simple but very strong. It is used in several of their knives, I've had the Griptilian for 6 or so years and it is a champ.
