I just bought a large Sebenza with the ladder damascus blade - here it is.



I plan on carrying it and using it on a fairly regular basis. I've never carried or used a damascus blade before. Does anybody have any input?

I've got a small fixed blade knife made by David Winston and he made the Damascus steel for the blade from 1095 and 15N20. It looks good and it's a solid performer.
That's a real nice pattern on your blade!

Chris Reeve's organization sure makes wonderful knives. I visited his facility in Boise, talk about a drool fest.

Carbon or stainless damascus?

If carbon, keep her oiled in quality mineral oil.

That Sebenza is a beauty!

I often carry this little fixed blade by Jason Winston. I liked it so much, I bought two more, and gave them to my Brothers.
