Anybody carry one? Or any Fallknivens for that matter? Thoughts?

I really like this knife. It is very beefy and fits my hand well.........
It does look like a good design and I have heard great comments about their knives.

One comment, stabbing my knife into a tree was how I broke off the point.
Both trees are old/soft. Blade is nice/thick. 5/32" I believe......
I have a few of them, including the F1. I prefer the G3 H-1 for hunting. The U2 is a great little knife as well.
I had one for a while. Very nice knife and a great cutter. The handle was a bit too small for me and the blade was personally too thick. However it was a very nice knife. I really liked the looks of the laminated blade as well.
Kinda chunky in the blade thickness, though I used to like the Fallkniven knives well enough until they began to creep the price up so much. Now they are close enough to a hand made custom makers knife that I would rather throw a bit more cash with their price and go ahead and get a true custom blade.
I had an F1 for quite a while, and used it extensively for stalking.

As noted, the handle is kind of skinny, although that suited me fine. The blade was wicked sharp from the box. possibly the sharpest factory blade I have ever bought.

That said, I was never totally happy with the blade shape, or thickness for dealing with our small deer.

After some scrotum stole it, I replaced it with a Linder Super Edge 1 in ATS 34 (bottom knife in pic below) and for what I use it for, I think I prefer it.

Edited to add, I also had my eye on a Fallkniven TK2, but they run twice the price of the F1 and I find that hard to justify..

I think they are great bushcraft knives but a little thick for a hunting knife. It will do the job but something like a Bob Dozier YPS is a better hunting knife.
This is where personal preferences come into things. I am pretty much stuck on knives that follow the basic Bob Loveless design.

Below are another two knives by Linder that I own.

The top one is better in terms of build quality and steel used, but I prefer the overall shape of the bottom one. The top one was a gift and has great sentimental value and therefore I never take it in the field as I consider it irreplaceable.

The bottom one I've had for many years and while the build quality is very average, the 440C steel takes an edge easily and that edge is very easy to touch up. While it is no super steel, the 440C holds an edge long enough for my purposes. Overall, I just love the shape of the knife and if I ever commission a custom knife, that is what I want duplicated, but perhaps a touch bigger, about the size of the top one..
I have several Fallknivens and have used their PHK model extensively the last couple of years on elk, deer and one antelope.
Carry one at work everyday w/ factory leather sheath. Wish they had a micarta handle option because that rubber gets some serious hot spots after awhile.

Falkniven dothe F1 in both Micarta and possibly G11 They also sells completed blade blanks and many small makers put their own handles on so there is actually quite a lot of choice..
I really like the shape of that TK2.
