Well,I was telling Menefee I need to start a thread here for Larry's knives. Long over due ,but with this new video he created showing some Damascus work, there is no better timing.
I'll post some pictures of Larry's knives . Please add if you would like.

picked this little Rosi up from Vince last fall. It is so close to perfect that it just amazes me. Bocote Wood handle. Antlers tipped me off that it was available.

If you knew how hard Larry has worked at learning the art of making great knives you would be impressed. He is dedicated to it.

Larry also built and designed the press you see in the video. Scrounged up parts and the hydraulic fittings and tubing and put it all together. Pretty talented guy.

Cool stuff Larry. Video is too short though. I'd like to see more in depth on the Damascus billets. smile

Let me know when you decide to start turning out some Stamascus.

Dale Drive on up and I'll show ya all I can.You can test drive the Ron Clairborne press I have for sale and take it home. Will make Damascus, knives and drink some Iron City Beer!!! Don't get much better!!!

If you weren't so damned far away I would take you up on that offer. I'd really like to get into damascus more and would love to talk to you about that press. Unfortunately, I can't see coming that far to get it and I doubt shipping it is viable.

I used that black paper Nicaragua/ blue liner B&T that I got from you a bunch of times this year. Did about 200 ringnecks, hand full of grouse, a turkey, and two deer. I will have to look through my pics and see what I can find.

This one :

is the same profile as the Damascus knife, and below is a drop point

Yes that is the one. I thing is a very neat classy looking knife and if I was in the market would jump on it. Never could understand why a knife like that was always referred to as a trout and bird knife. Thanks. Cheers NC
