Since hunting season is in full swing.............
Lets see em.
My Crotts
Took the pic before the cutting started so it's not a true bloody knife pic...
About to get bloody... This Menefee Semi-Skinner has worked on three whitetails so far this fall.
Miller B&T
What kind of critter was that?
Swift fox. Itty-bitty buggers......
A Gustavo Morales skinner getting ready to go to work.
A Fiddleback Forge Hiking Buddy.
My season is really just kicking off so I hope to have more in the near future.
This morning's South Dakota archery buck along with an Okamura blade.
It's 14 degrees and I'm not about to dink around with my camera and bloody hands.
That's a sweet blade. Nice lines for sure on that knife.
Pair of Winstons making short work of a NM Mulie.....
160 OT:
15 OT:
One of Mike Miller's.
Joel Clark "Nimrod1949" Caper. Really nice little knife. Sharp as hell.
Antlers and Okie19 will probably recognize this one. Lil girl put it to work last night....
Nice. Did she really do the work?
Looks like blood on her hands to me. Josh teaches her right!! Ain't no free lunch at his place. Lol
Reno
Like our Moderator 'Flave says... "This ain't no soup kitchen!"
Did she shoot the deer.... Yes
Did she do the gutting from start to finish alone with no help....No, of course not. Once I got her opened up and the paunch and other out of the way, she got the rest.
josh, you must be mighty proud of that little girl. Looks like a great shot, blood on her hands and jeans, and a big smile on her face - it don't get any better.
Yeah, cool pic. Congrats to the little lady. Is that a Lite Hunter?
Always nice to see guys and young ladies using great tools.
Miller B&T
That will get Miller's heart pumping. He is a diehard bird killer.
I saw 4 jakes 3/4 mile South of the house this morning!
Yeah, cool pic. Congrats to the little lady. Is that a Lite Hunter?
Yes Sir

Congrats Josh, looks like the weather in Tejas is a little more pleasant that up in Buffalo.
twofish
That is cool as the other side of the pillow. That's a great custom for her. Nice work on her part, and on your part in particular, and on Gene's part.
I'm thinking the Lite Hunter is going to be my next Ingram. That is a really clean design, jigged and beaded G10 is my handle choice also. Not quite sure of the color yet.
Thanks for the compliments men.
MOGC.... I'm fairly new to the custom knives, but the Lite Hunter is a keeper. It fits the hands perfect and I really dig the grip of the jigged G-10 scales. I know you can't see it in the above pictures but this one has black liners. I think an orange handled G-10 with black liners would be sweet.
Thanks for the extra pic of your Ingram. Here is my Ingram #4 B&T S30V about to do a gutless field debone and quarter backpack operation on whitetail number four for the year. This is from this mornings hunt... You're looking at the exit from a .30-30 170 grain Speer handload on a big old deep woods national forest doe. The entry was point of the opposite shoulder on a quartering on shot. Little Ingram did a fine job.
My favorite butchering knife .... a J.A. Henckels 5 1/2" semi-flexible boner
... yes, I know it's not a custom but it makes quick work of my butchering and keeps a great edge. Picked it up at Bed Bath & Beyond several years back. Lol! It plain works!

Very tough to beat. Although I've just taken my first deer this year, I've been a part of butchering about a dozen. I prefer my Victorinox boning knives. Quick to put a touch up on with a steel while butchering, and a great blade for all around breakdown of animals. I step up to a scimeter for cutting larger steaks (usually beef at home. Buy all primal cuts and cut my own how I like them!)
Dozier Pro Peeler with a S30V Kaala, post plastic surgery by Dale Howe.
Skinned a Squirrel with my GEC B&T a couple days ago.
Not a "custom" but it's the best 70.00 I ever spent.
Love that little knife!!
Dammit Charlie. Every time I see that knife I want it. They are DAMM hard to find, also.
Pretty soon I'm gonna go on a quest for one......
Yea,,, they're pretty scarce.
I'll let you know if I see one.
Don't generally snap pics while butchering, but found this one.
The Solingen Othello in the back has turned out to be a really great knife.

Art, my knife did beautifully gutting my buck. It fits my hand perfectly and is a splendid addition to my hunting kit.

Nice, uh, camera angle. And knife.

Good eats and good times. Nice job by her. I recognize that knife.
Cheapest meat there is...deer balls...they're under a buck.

hahahahahahah!! Love it!!!
hunts,
Like that knife and GB hatchet...
Used my old NorthWoods B&T to process my meat deer this year.
Errrr,,, my meat fawn that is.
ETA,,,,, You guys sure make a mess out of things.
Remind me to show you the gutless method one of these days.
Charlie,
I use the gutless method and debone and/or quarter and backpack the meat out of these deep rough Ozark hollers. Beats the hell out of dragging deer a mile or more up and downhill through the timber. In fact, I know I am getting a bunch of Cabela's bucks for Christmas and plan on buying a better meat pack.
Yea,,,, I haven't opened up a Deer for a long time GC.
Getting at the tenders can be a little scary the first time but it easy after you do it a time or two.
Funny part is,,,, this little Deer was no more than eighty pounds live weight and less than two hundred yard straight downhill to my garage but I won't even drag one that far.
Good eats and good times. Nice job by her. I recognize that knife.
Good eye! I meant to give that pair as gifts but couldn't bring myself to split them up. It has cut up a few elk now.
Menefee sitting on a pile of nine squawks... Squirrel stew makings!

I really like the looks of this knife. Do you have any info on it?
Rocky Menefee made these
He's actually made 5 of them that I have given as gifts
They are a great bird and trout pattern
Here is a link to the same knives
Rocky Menefee
Thanks for the link, but it didn't work. Did he have a web page, I couldn't find one. Thank you

Go back to main Knife forum page and look for Rocky Menefee thread I started

Rick M:
Very cool pic, and love that Winston with black jigged g-10, a fantastic work horse.
It can also be used to assist in cooking breakfast in the duck blind
Dang, describe that breakfast entree?
Its easy easy
I take a Dutch Oven and brown sausage
Then add one diced onion and one garlic clove also diced
Then add one bag of hash browns
Cook until hash browns are fork tender
Then take 12 eggs, whisk and pour into oven
Let cook about 40 min or until eggs are firm
Then top with a bag of shredded cheese and let cook until cheese melts
I made this Saturday, did the calling and also shot ducks in between cooking
Five of us eat it in no time
Taste good in a duck blind at about 30*
I'll be trying that very soon. Thanks...
Super cool recepie! Love that black jigging too.
It can also be used to assist in cooking breakfast in the duck blind
Mild sausage?
Really?
I like the looks of that Winston too, is he affiliated with Ingram?

What model is that? I like it!
It looks like a #44 to me with pointy blade the #43 is similar but has more of a drop point blade, but i could be lying!
Is the 61 a new pattern? Looks very useful.
I'm not sure
A buddy had one made and I liked it and had one made
This has tapered tang too
It's one of these
Very nice, i just need to put my shades on, you gotta love G-10,lots of color there.
Those are my Winston Skittle collection
Jigged and beaded G-10 is hard to beat on a usin' field knife. Those look great. David does a fine job on those scales, as well as on the blades. Glass bead blasted G-10, without the jiggin', makes for real fine knife scales too.
Went squirrel hunting this morning. Squirrels weren't active and I only managed three total. The old M39A with Williams peep and a Menefee Trapper...
Two of these dudes crossed away from me down the holler and the M39 did its thing. The "kiss of death" brought them around to me. One got in a brush pile and I couldn't dig it out but it's dead as Madonna's viginity. The other one posed...
Bloodied them Winstons again.....
Love that knife...love those shadow patterns in a folder.
Thank you, I really appreciate that folder too. I use the heck out of it.
dead as Madonna's viginity.
[/quote]
dead as Madonna's viginity! Now that is funny gotta remember that one. Bahahahhahahha
Actually darn good shootin'. Everyone I see while I am deer huntin' usually are about to reach mach 3, and are just a blurr. I think we have killed enough for them to know death is about to reach out an touch them.
Thank you fellers.
Josh,
That is a good looking O-Dad. Congrats!
Josh glad to see you are working the hell out of those Winstons they sure are a sweet set!
