Great choice dude. Larry finishes out black paper micarta most excellent...smooth as glass and a rich lustrous shine. Black paper micarta finished out the way Larry does it is one of my favorite knife scales.
Ok, I'm in.

Black paper, blue liners, stainless hardware

Thank you!

I have zero experience with this steel or even BG-42, can anyone give me an idea to what other steels it compares to in ease of sharpening and edge holding?
bg42 is a great steel with good edge endurance. fairly stainless & was chris rhvees alloy choice before he went to s30 & s35. sharpens easily for complex alloy.cranky72
Troutfisher B75P is very similar to CPM154 steel. The big difference is B75P has 1.2% Vanadium added to it.Vanadium contributes to wear Resistance and hardenability which contributes to toughness. Sharpening will be the same as any high end stainless knife steel. Edge holding will be VERY GOOD!!! Hope this helps.
Thanks guys for your responses.

Vince, can I change my liner color to white?

Thanks to everyone who helped put it together.

Can't wait for mine.
Any chance of a Fillet knife group buy? My children are starting to really like fishing. And Thanks also Vince for this group buy.
Mine arrived yesterday. The fit and finish is impeccable and the knife snaps into the sheath better than any other custom knife I have owned.
I wasn't sure if I would like the design or not when I first got it, after several fondlings it has become one of my all time favorites.

Congrat's on the bird ,looking good. I should have mine in here soon,I'll post it up!
this is one I bought from Vince earlier. It is a constant companion now, when I hunt. Blooded it last December, hunting Georgia hogs.

Good stuff TF,

Ya' beat me to it, as I've not had the opportunity to blood mine, but hope to change that soon.

What'cha gonna do with those breasts.

I generally do jerky.

Best,

GWB

I am going to cut the breast into strips, marinate them, and grill. Maybe wrap them in bacon.

The legs will be froze until the season is over, and then I will cut the meat off all the ones I have and cook them in a croc pot for 8 hours with a can of cream of mushroom soup. Then serve it over egg noodles.
Glad to see them knives bloodied up! Congrates Troutfisher!
I would like one,

The dude makes fine knives. Larry's Bird & Trout is one of the best designed B&T's out there today (including those from Ingram and May). It is extremely well suited for the type of knife it is. Slim and trim.
