Hey all, curious for some suggestions on a good fixed blade swayback knife, with a 3"ish inch blade. I like the look of a swayback blade for precise skinning stuff like around the horns and eyes on sheep because that point allows you to dig in and make super exact cuts, but kind of coming up empty on searches on anything other than Case knives.....

Thanks....

Tanner

I have had people in my kitchen, that did try to use one of my knives, cutting with the un sharpened swedge. That particular handle shape is for holding the knife, edge up,for peeling, carving, etc. That is what designates the name sway back.
You could have a swayback with a blade, other than a warncliffe profile

The knife Sakohunter shows is a hunter style with warncliffe

Case makes a swayback & a teardrop ,too, both with warncliffe blades,I do believe

Oh yes I know of course, but no BS you should see the look on one's face when the swedge does not cut. They're thinking,WTF ,with this guys custom knives.

Tanner,
You're young, and a student, so I'll leave the research to you...

Search on:
"Tom Krein Ultimate Caper"; and,
"CPM 3V"

Thank me later... grin
