Have never had an Axis lock myself, but they look intriguing. For an EDC, knockaround 3" knife, what are the pros/cons of an Axis lock vs. a Liner lock?

For me the Axis lock is harder to close with one hand.

Word.

I am very used to liner locks as I have been carrying them almost daily for 30 years. I remember back when pocket clips were yet to become popular and I was one of the few who carried such a knife.

Being able to open easily with one hand is of utmost importance for any knife I carry at work.

I only carry traditional pocket knives on weekends or non-work days.........
Lock Back, axis lock, liner lock, frame lock. None are so complicated that they make a knife unusable. Variety makes playing with knives fun.
Is one type of lock stronger than another?
My Axis lock folders (Benchmade) for me are the quickest to open and close.

Liner lock's are very secure.

That said my newest folder a MOKI is a lock back.

Personal preference would seem to dictate choice.

Yes, and between a liner lock and the Axis lock the Axis is the stronger mechanism.
