I recently purchased a blank that I am attemting to finish, it will be my first attempt. I wanted to find some nice stag for the scales. Anyone have a good supplier? I need them about 4 1/2 x 1 1/4.

If it is India Sambar you are looking for....Generally,that length,4.5" , the pre cut scales will be slightly wider in width . At this size,they get pretty pricy. You will find more sets in a shorted length ,in that width.

eBay has selection(pricey)
USAKnife Maker has several nice ones(their pictures are legit) do you don't get stuck with odd shaped slabs
