I have put in for Colorado unit 75/751 3rd season for mule deer rifle hunt. Any information on these units would be helpfull. I am planning on doing a backpack hunt for the full 8 days of the season. I am wondering about the quality and quantity of bucks as well what elevation they might be at the first week of november. Any information would be helpfull.

backpack in 3rd season for 8 days in the San Juans? Presumably in the wilderness area? Might want to be a little more flexible by being truck based. Weather could get a little ugly and the deer could be way below you. Please don't bite off more than you can chew.

I will be hunting public land. I can be either truck based or I can backpack in depending on the weather or the conditions. I have never been to that unit. I am just wondering what the country is like and what the deer numbers are like.
