Has anyone ever hunted with this outfitter?
Thanks,
If its this outfit I wouldn't give them a single penny!

I'm not aware of a USA Outfitters and it there is in fact an operation called USA Outfitters then they didn't do their homework when picking a name grin
Well, google has never heard of them, and a search turns up USO operations in Kansas, closest thing to "USA Outfitters". USO is trouble--stay away from them. Thank us later.
It was United States outfitters, I got onto them by searching whitetail hunts western kansas, and it is the same as the link mentioned by huntsonora.
Thanks guys
Whitetail count is really down in Kansas due to the drought last year.
Keith,
I'm not sure how far north the drought occured,
did it go as far north as Goodland?
I don't see the drought doing much harm to the whitetails as much as it affected the pheasant population.

Straydog, I don't know if you're looking for a guided hunt, but KS does offer a lot of walk-in hunting areas. With that said, I noticed a lot more hunters this past deer season on WIHA.

Are you looking to muley hunt or whitetail hunt? Another reason I ask is because non-residents can only get muzzleloader only or archery only tags for muleys. Goodland IIRC is mainly muley country.
I was sort of in the market for a rifle whitetail hunt in southwestern Kansas, maybe around Ashland. When the drought was mentioned I was trying to find out how far north did it reach? Was not aware that Goodland was mostly M.D.

I'm running out of time to buy a permit and feeling rushed, which I hate, so may just go another year.
On the pheasant hunting boards, I-70 was kind of the barrier between drought and not drought. We pheasant hunt south of I-70 and the difference between this year and last year was 75% fewer birds harvested on opening weekend, hunting same fields as previous year. Theres a lot of variables that go into that, but the drought definitely hurt the bird population.

Mike, many units have leftover tags after the drawing if you don't want to commit to the application deadline.

Had it not been for your post, I would have missed the deadline. shocked

Skane,
Good luck
Drawing the tag is the easy part. grin
Full moon for the opener. sick
I have hunted around Ashland and have a great friend that runs a ranch there. I'll see if he has any openings for you
Interesting...

Check out Flint Hills Adventures in southeastern Kansas. I've hunted with him three different times. Do it yourself hunt and have always had good luck.
JRC,

Is that in Unit 11?
Unit 12 and 14
I am in south central Kansas and the drout didn't seem to have an effect on the whitetails at all.
Check out MidWest Outfitters. I have been hunting with them several times. No drought in the upper east corner for sure.
