My 4 yr old daughter and I were looking at a heard of deer when she said dad I see a buck!!! I said yes honey there is a little forky there.. She said no that one right there and pointed behind us.. Lesson is listen to your child..

Congrats!! That is a really cool looking buck, sure bigger than anything I saw over east last week. Was pretty tough where we hunted, really hot and dry. Anyway, your hunting partner is a good one:)

Thanks Guys, She has been with me for the last 3 years and loves it.. Yes Oregonmuley it was stupid hot here in NE Oregon it got up too 90 one day and was way to dry.. We had a nasty wind storm this weekend and that's of course when we got him..

Yeah, weather sucked, I was in NE Oregon Sunday though Friday and weather was terrible hot, never saw a shooter buck the entire time we were there except one and that was out of our unit.

Thanks zeke, Yes heavywalker besides opening morning until that storm hit we had nothing coming through where we hunt..The full moon didn't help either. I have a few buddies who had different unit up on the mountain saying they weren't seeing anything.. It was nice and cool today hopefully it will get stuff moving..

Way over 80 at 4100' where we were. We did manage to get our two bucks [5x4 and 2x2 whitetails]but it was the fourth day when it cooled off a bit.

My Mom asked her last Christmas what she wanted to do play Barbie's or go out in the cold and shoot coyote's?? She said go shoot coyotes with dad.. I wish all kids had that chance to know and make that choice.
