A close shooting pard of mine has always wanted a Remington Varmint BDL in .222 but we haven't seen one for literally years.....so I built one.
Stock: Original Varmint BDL I bought from a Campfire member
Barrel: off a SPS Varmint in .223, set back and rechambered to .222 1 in 12 twist
Action: Off another SPS in .223

Gave him this as a gift, to thank him for his generosity.


He has been playing with it all fall, I gave him a box of 50 gr TTSX as he is a fellow stunt shooter, and he put it to good work....

.222 at 237 lazered yards, heart shot, bullet exited.

Lucky it didn't blow up on the hide..........grin!

I am planning on becoming a stunt shooter also with my 223 next week... Was thinking back on all the deer I have killed and realized I have never killed one with a 223. My Savage mod 11 loves the 65 gr GameKings.
