To me, for WT's, etc., 125/130 gr. bullets in the '06 are sleepers. They can be very accurate, they shoot faster than heavier bullets, and from what I've seen, fully penetrate a WT's chest with impressive tissue destruction, good blood flow from both wounds and quick kills, mostly DRT.
Seems 150/165/180's are more popular than 125/130's. The lighter bullets may actually be the best performers on thin skinned big game. If a given bullet will punch thru, maybe a heavier one isn't needed.
I use 130's in my '06 in food plots where 200 yds. is a long shot, 125-150 yds. most common. It is a slick cycling HVA with 20" bbl., very handy in a box blind. This gun shot Ralph Council 130's into a one hole, three shot group, target posted earlier.
