A neighbor bought a 700 ADL package gun in 223 at Wal-Mart and a couple boxes of Federal Fusion MSR 62 grain ammo. Anybody use this ammo and, if so, what do you think of it? I assume that, being a Remington, this rifle has a 1-12" ROT.

I'm a big fan of Federal Fusion. I have no experience with this round though. I'm glad you asked, I was thinking of using it in my son's rifle.

I've shot the round in an AR and a Montana. Was very accurate in both. Haven't shot a deer with one yet, only a couple of cats.

My 11 year old grandson has popped 5 deer with it over the past two seasons using a break action Rossi. 4 never took a step and one did a 40 yard death dash. The stuff flat out works. Out Dicks Sporting Goods has it on closeout for $14. I scooped up a pile.
