Another nice Alberta morning. Picked up a used Savage 116 Weather Warrior and painted it up last week. Slapped on a Bushnell Elite 4200 and hit the bush this past Monday. Managed to punch a doe tag after calling in a doe with with a fawn in distress call. Head shot at just over 100 yards and meat was made. Looking forward to this years rut at the end of November....

Nice deer for the freezer…wonderful scenery! What round in your Savage?

I'm shooting the 168 grain Winchester Supreme Nosler Combined Technologies round in that .30-06 Its also what my other half shoots on her Savage. I can't reload a more accurate round for those two Savages we shoot. Its nice that we both shoot the same round.
