I know I will probably catch some [bleep] for this but we are fortunate to have electricity and plumbing in our deer camp so in our down time we will pop a movie in the DVD player. We have a selection of John Wayne movies, Jeremiah Johnson, a few others. As I am typing this both grumpy old men and ghost and the darkness come to mind.
Escanaba in da Moonlight for sure. But a good sense of humor is required.
That is a tradition at our deer camp although try as I may I have never been able to make it through the whole movie.

The Great Outdoors with John Candy and Dan Akroyd. Anything 80s Bill Murry or Steve Martin. Simon Peg is funny too.
Dusk till Dawn. Watch it every year. Figh Club has become a standard, as well.

This one for sure. Christmas Vacation would be another.
Ghost And the Darkness, Mountain Men, & Tombstone.

We had a pile of DVDs at our old cabin before we sold it.

Seems that the most popular that I can remember were Surviving the Game, Dances with Wolves, and either A Fistful of Dollars or For a Few Dollars More (can't remember which one it was.)

Seems like one of those was always on when I'd stop in.
No country for old men and shooter or Ghost and the darkness.

#1 all time is Harry Black and the Tiger with Stewart Granger.
MOVIES?? MOVIES??

Damn man....you're supposed to drink whiskey and play poker all night!!
Another vote for Ghost and the Darkness. "I'm going to locate Remington I assume you've heard of him"? "Every man who has hunted has heard of him".
If no kids around

Boondocks saints. 1 and 2

Yup, we had a TV in camp once. It got "shot" the next morning. Actually we switched it with another first but we got the point across. laugh
Sometimes you need time to recover from the whiskey and empty wallets.

The neighbors used to bring up skin flicks every year-called 'em "training films." The old hillbilly from the area that used to keep an eye on the camps for us would sit there speechless for a couple hours watching them, then get up and leave very quickly-said he had some "business to go take care of."

I have a good sense of humor and Escanaba In Da Moonlight didn't tickle it one bit. That was a tough movie to get through.

Will you be able to follow the storyline if you don't start with #1?

+1

There were a few scenes here and there that made me chuckle, but mostly it was rather painful to get through.

I don't do a traditional deer camp like many on here, but I'd probably put Tombstone on the list for a deer camp movie.
