i drew a unit 44 buck tag after 30 years, was a resident for 20 years move to east montana and draw a tag,,,, better get some research going,,,,,

Unit 44 or 45?
44 doesn't seem to be that hard of a tag to draw...Where 45 is THE tag to draw for mule deer, anywhere if you ask me.

Good luck! Lots of very neat country in 44. Don't over look some of the lower country, even early in the season. Not all the good bucks are in the upper basins then.
Horses or motorcycles could be very good to have...
