Anyone familiar with this brand ???
I don't have experience with the Hunter's Hoist with the foot, but have the $90 Sportsman's Guide verison w/o the foot. The SG unit is the same and for truck use, I'd recommend it over the $300+ HH. I've skinned many deer on mine. If for an ATV or UTV, I see the point in having the foot for extra support with those weak hitches.

We went with the El Cheapo and then had to weld on another brace at the bottom angle. It wouldn't have been much more welding to build one from scratch.

The HH has some advantages. It is extended out so you can open the rear window and tail gate. It also extends out far enough to rotate a deer easily. The foot seems like a good idea. It looks to have a little more height than the knock off version which won't get a larger deer fully off the ground.

I saw these discounted to about $160 so may be worth it.

A friend welded up a heavy duty one and added an electric 4 wheeler winch to it. He uses the winch to skin the deer and with the gutless method he can skin and quarter one in about 15 minutes. A boat winch is a nice addition if you don't go full electric.

I have one similar. It is great for use on my atv.
