This was last night.

Body injury related on the rear buck from last year?
Posted By: micky Re: Trail Cam pics - 07/20/16
His drop tine? I don't know. He is the first drop I have seen at my place. I have some non typicals that run around. Lots of split brow tines and split G2s as well.

Maybe not just that, that rack looks abnormal side to side balance wise. But since you have non typicals thats probably the answer.

We have had a few young drops, nothing old enough to shoot and never see em again. I"m fairly sure that most anyone around here would shoot a young drop just because, but I simply won't... not that I wouldn't have years ago...

Nice deer.

Is that a mineral lick or something else?

I know we usually post cam pics for head gear, but have any of you ever had a buck on cam with cods this big?:

He's just an avg 4.5 that won't score much. He's been hitting trace mineral all summer at my place and the jewels have been large since he started growing antlers. Not sure what caused the infection, I just hope he lives through it. I haven't pulled cards in about a month, so not sure if he's still alive. Looks fairly healthy other than the giant sack.

Either that or he will impregnate every for in 10 square miles.

I might have to shoot him and send the sack to Ingwe for a new hat.

Lol

He made it through the summer. Not much for head gear.

I usually don't get good buck pics until it cools down. Still pretty warm here.

Here's a cull and a nice 8:

Archery starts 10/1 here. I've had some pics of that 8 in the daylight, so going to give him a try.

Schaweet!!

That'll get ya excited, but if it's anything like the MS Delta deer we hunt in NE LA, they are all but ghost lol. There's a very short period of the rut that can be pretty awesome.

True.

What you see at 8:30 PM differs from what you see during daylight, for sure.
