I have both and like both, but probably like the British style a little better. The downside of the British style is that they don't have integrated suspenders like the Germany style, so if you like suspenders, you'll need to provide your own and sew in your own buttons.

These were made in Germany, I guess that the French appreciate "German Quality" as much as the rest of us, despite their history. I can imagine a million dead French soldiers from the Franco-Prussian War, WW1, and WW2 rolling in their graves if they knew that current French soldiers were wearing uniforms that had been outsourced to Germany.

I stopped wearing gortex rainsuits when i used to fish bass tourneys. Running in the rain water go right thru gortex at any pressure point. I have had 2 walls microdenier suits for 20 years and never had them leak. I do like boots with gortex
