Sat all day in the climber and this guy walks by with 15 minutes of legal shooting light remaining. Not a monster, but the best buck I have seen in the last 7 years in southeast Mo. Hate it that I left that tongue hanging out, better pic below. Kimber Montana 308 did the trick. Hit him a little forward in the rib cage so it took him a minute before he finally crashed.

Congrats- beautiful buck.

I didn't have any luck during MO gun season this year. Last year, in the same spot in Morgan county, I was covered up with bucks. I'll be hittin' it with muzzleloader in Henry county startin' Christmas Eve.

This is off topic, but, I'm curious- do you feel the buck quality is better, worse or about the same since the 4point rule was introduced?

Better, I've been hunting Moniteau and Boone counties for the past 15 years. Definitely better.
