I had a most weird season Saw only 9 deer this year in the Adirondacks But we had snow and a 8 pointer died. Only chased him 4 miles on Thanksgiving Had other luck in the muzzle loading seasons but for sure the least amount of sightings in the near past. Walked into the borasa lakes

may be a NY thing but what is up with the fur on hams?
Our camp took a small 7. Tons of sign this year but most of us didn't a tail. Didn't make it up for tracking snow. Hunting outside of long lake.

Betting they shared part of a deer. Nice buck my hat is off to you.
Nice. I bet it's fun to track in snow.

Sure is.

Good year for big bucks, last year's mild winter benefitted the herd.

Sign all over, but I didn't see one I wanted to kill this year.
ALmsot grew up in Utica. Never hunted there though. I hear it is just as hard as northern WIs.
I hunted east of Utica, just inside the park.
Few does and couple young bucks seen. Passed um up.
Nothing killed in our camp in Doug Mtn area. I only got to hunt a couple days but saw more deer than usual - all does though. Pretty tough when only 3 out of 14 guys show up to hunt any more! Good snow at thanksgiving this year too.

Hunting the Adirondacks is the only thing I miss about The people's republic of NY. Folks who never hunted it just don't understand it!
