Has anyone have experience hunting Whitetail there and if so, is it a worthwhile destination?

Grew up on the edge of the Pawnee still wander it frequently. I would not go there cold to hunt Whitetail.
If you know someone have some connection and they have known Whitetail fine. But has always better mule deer country and last 10 years of oil and gas work has made even them harder to find.

Agree with 65J. I live close to the grasslands and ride it often. I would not do a WT hunt there unless private land where you know they are holding some WT.Seldom will you see a WT on the Pawnee public land. Plus the oil drilling has screwed things up considerably.

Co. resident hunting buddy hasn't hunted it either but "heard" that the area was worth a try.
I think I will apply for mule to the N.W.in an areal know.
