A lot of discussion about 220 grain bullets in 30-06 lately. Didn't want to hi-jack the thread so I start another one.
I found on sale Remington's Express Rifle loads with 200gr Partitions in 30-06. Planned on using them on deer and moose.
I shot all my big game on last season with monolithick 170gr Lapua Naturalis. Worked great. How do you think those 200gr Partitions would work on deer and moose send through the 30-06?

Depends on where you hit them. Place your bullet properly and you will not have any problem.

I would not hesitate to use the 200-grain Partitions for either species. I think that you will like them, and the deer and moose won't care.
Dead critters if you can shoot, if you can't it don't matter what you shoot.

I consider myself pretty decent shooter. Out of the last season's eight animals I shot seven while they were moving/running. Longest shot to running deer was around 150 yards Only one was shot from the "ambush" in the darkness. (We use dogs here in our driven hunts...)

I guess they'll work just as nicely as monolithick copper bullets. I got 100 rounds with less money than just 100 Partition bullets alone would have cost here.
