My friend had a .35 Rem 336 converted by Nonneman, and has not been able to get it to shoot well. Any suggestions, or has anyone else had accuracy issues with this conversion?

Thanks

I have a .356 Model 94 Big Bore and find the cartridge easy to load for.
What has your friend tried so far?

My 30-30 Marlin 336 Jess rebored to 356 W does very well with 220 gr Speer FN's, WW748, Fed GM primers and just about any case you want to use. It didn't do what I consider well with Beartooth 250 LFN's, but well enough for hunting out to 150 yds.

Try the Speer 220's, work up slow with whatever powder you use...there are several in the WW-748 burning range that do OK.

Thanks - I loaded up some ammo for him with 200 gr Hornadys and 200 gr Remington RN. I might have loaded up some 220 gr Speers, but I'm not sure as it was quite some time ago. Thanks for the tips on the powders.

I would like to know the gunsmith who converted your Mar. 30/30 to shoot 356 win. My brother give his old Mar. 30/30. I already have two 30/30 a Mar. and a Win. I also the Win. 94 in 356 win. and I like 35 caliber rifles. So if you can give me the gunsmiths info. I would appreciate it.
