I have been looking for a used marlin 357 to use as a mate to my mp 340. After missing a few really good deals on one I found one today. It is a slightly newer model with the jm stamp but it does have the cross bolt safety in it. The first few digits say 05 which would make it made in 1995 correct?

The gun is supposed to be like new and the guy is pretty stuck at 525 dollars. I figure that a new marlin is 550 new plus tax and background check so that price isn't too bad. What do you guys think? I am supposed to look at it tomorrow morning so any help would be appreciated.
The may not be an 1892 I may have forgotten the exact model that it is.
gun is an 1894. I'm just wondering if the 05 prefix makes it a 1995 gun. Also wondering if 525 is out of line on the price.
I'd snap it up for 525 and if you don't feel free to PM me his contact info and I'll purchase.
