I want to experiment with different bullets in my 1894CL in .25-20. I've already had to disassemble it once when I put too long of a round in the magazine. How long of a cartridge can I use, without jamming?

mine will take 1.615 oal in a flat nose cast. maybe a smidgen longer with a jacketed hp.
