I just got this yesterday at a funs how.

It has an octagon barrel, but I can't see a JM stamp on it,

At the range today it didn't appear to have been fired, as I had to drift the front sight to get it centered.

I reload so what loads work well it in?? Thanks

Marlin CB's have SN on left side receiver...if it begins with 'MR'

then its a Remington/Marlin (Rem/Lin) other wise it will begin with

numerical digits such as 96xxxx meaning it was mfg'd in 2004 prior to

Remington's purchase of Marlin...JM stamp is on left side of barrel

just ahead of receiver...I run lead cast boolits out of my 357 Marlin

usually with Trailboss...Unique..HS6..Titegroup...I find no enjoyment

running full nuts loads in my Marlins for just plinking steel...
I wasn't planing on max loads, always be conservative and never be liberal when it comes to reloading.

Thanks
