They must have bought up all that were left, listing them for $1199.00, but if you purchase Monday, you get 10% off, so $1,080. Not too bad for a new Ruger Marlin. They look pretty good, and I really like the short 16 barrel and pistol grip stock.
I stumbled across my 450 Guide Gun in the safe the other day & made the mistake of taking it out and fondeling it. Gotta admit the big bore lever gun bug has re-bitten me. Thankfully the ANC Cabelas doesnt have one in stock I can touch...
I stumbled across my 450 Guide Gun in the safe the other day & made the mistake of taking it out and fondeling it. Gotta admit the big bore lever gun bug has re-bitten me. Thankfully the ANC Cabelas doesnt have one in stock I can touch... Also helps that its stainless. I lnow stainless is practical but big bore lever guns should be blue (Or an earth tone ceracote).
I ended up picking one up. They got in 12 or 14 at the closest Cabela’s. With the Monday discounts it was $1020. I’m very happy with the fit and finish. Only had time to thumb in 3 and whack steel at 50 yards, but I like it!
Like I said, not a fan of stainless but was just thinking I could get the stainless ceracoted :-) Make me a nice Christmas present!
You have much snow there yet? And if you run across any 450 Marlin brass let me know...
I was able to get the last one at the two Memphis Bass Pro shops. Shot it yesterday. Everything worked great. Good accuracy for the sights that are on it. I’ll be adding a scope somehow. Should make an awesome ground blind/treestand gun.
Bought one last spring. It's a real grin to screw on the Hybrid46 and cut loose with my subsonic loads!
That is my next endeavor.
A good looking rifle for any one wanting a close range thumper. My customized Marlin 45-70 is carried more then any other long gun here in Alaska. I have others but this sees more "carry use" for the camp, tent, ATV, hiking, fishing, etc.
