Which Hornady bullet would you recommend for use on whitetails in a .348 winchester--the 200 grain FP, to the 200 grain FTX?

Either one will work fine!
+1
Either Hornady would be fine.I use the FP myself.Barnes 250 shoots the best, but the bullet is too tough for deer IMO.I hear good things about Hawk bullets also.
I was shooting Bob Bells 71 the other day.
Lord I love that beast.
I have had great success with the 200gr FP from Hornady. Shoots superb groups with the Lyman peep ( under 1.5 inches at 100) and hits deer hard!!!! Massive blood trails.
Both will work well, have always had good performance from hornady bullets. The 348 win has more power than needed for deer so as long as the bullet you choose will open up on deer it will do the job. I came up with 8 boxes of the new win power point's in a trade, can't wait to try them out on deer. The win silvertips in my experience don't open up on deer. Think the ultimate deer bullet in 348 would be the swift a-frame. So far have been using the woodleigh 250 for everything because it performs exceptionally well and is most accurate in both my win mod 71's.
