My 84 year old uncle is selling his guns and has asked me to help. I know it is hard without a picture but what would be a realistic range of value for this in 30-30. He says it is average plus condition. Any ideas from any of you lever action guys??
I would guess $400 to $500......
There is a lot left unsaid here. More information required. Takedown, Deluxe, short or extra long barrel, serial number-- XXXing out the last few numbers, etc. would help. The WCF indicates an older rifle. Value could vary widely.
Ditto what 21 said
The range of value on this gun could be wide.
Stamped "WCF" , 84 year old uncle. Could be a desirable one.
More info could help you out here!
.
Rifle (model) or carbine; bbl config & length; and any special feature(s) (different than standard) make a real difference in value.

Thanks. I should be getting that gun and a Marlin lever action .22 with octagon barrel, next week. Will add more info then. He sometimes gets things a little mixed up.
More info and maybe picts later.
Marlin 1897? Maybe?
We all will try to help you next week.
