I have a Rossi M92 .357 where the magazine tube has a tendency to move forward under recoil. I have firmly tightened the screw on the barrel band, and made sure the small screw at the front of the magazine tube is securely seated in the indent on the underside of the barrel. Is there something I missed? Some fix that you can suggest?
Have a look at Paco Kelly's Levergun.com.
I think he addresses that issue there.

thanks for the direction. I did find a bit about it on that site, quite an interesting site for other things too!
I fixed mine by drilling out the mag plug a size bigger and rethreaded it and made the screw with a square shoulder on the end to seat in the hole in the bottom of the barrel also made the hole a little deeper with a square bottom to match the end of the screw when just barely making contact in the bottom of the hole. It has been holding up fine under a steady diet of SAA270 gr and 300 gr boolits at a right smart pace.
