Recently purchased a used Ithica model 72. Beat up but Very nice wood. The gun has a weak feeling lever (Compared to my Win 9422). Plus, it doesn't eject the 22 shells from the chamber. I beleive I'll need a new extractor to fix the problem. Anyone ever have this problem with these Ithica rifles? Also, go a few side screws missing. Anyone know a good parts company that carries these in stock?
Hmm, Guess not. LOL

Its a common problem with m49 single shot ithaca .22 lever actions. It might also be with yours. I have read that you can fix it IF YOU'RE CAREFUL about taking it apart, but I dont know where to get the parts. I would start looking at Numrich. Sorry I cant be of more help.
I don't know if this will help but IIRC I read somewhere that the new Henry lever action rimfires are nothing more than the old Ithaca 72 being made in NY. It might be worth taking a look at a Henry to see how similar they are or download an owners manual for reference. Hope it helps some; Mike
Thanks guys.
