Anyone have a peep sight for a Marlin 39A that they would like to sell?
I've got a Williams 5D that came off a used Marlin 39a, that I bought/scoped scoped for my grandson - $25 mailed TYD.
.
I will take it if it is a dedicated Marlin 39A model, you can use the ones for the marlin 336, and Winchester 94 also, the only difference that I know, the aperture arm sticks way out past the receiver.
If this one is definitely for a 39A can you PM your address, and how you want to get paid.
Thanks again,
Bernie
Still looking for one, Rangr44 has decieded to keep his.
I would to if I just found a 1955 39a for as cheep as he did.
Looks like I missed out, the quest continues.
Anyone know how hard it would have been to fine the missing aperture?
Be patient, and watch for an old steel Redfield or Lyman receiver sight. They look right on the old Marlins, I don't think an aluminum sight does. Ebay, Gunbroker, etc.
I couldn't agree more, how much for it shipped?
For this one? Surprisingly expensive!!
What year is your Mountie? The one that I have is from 1960.
Great little rifle, my 9 year old son loves shooting it.
Mine is also 1960. Nice old rifles!
Expect to pay $75-$100 for one of the old Redfields, and the sourdough front insert is never a mistake.
Thanks, will be going to a gun show this weekend, maybe I'll find one.

At least. Interest in cowboy lever silhouette is driving the market.
Another good choice for a 39 is a Redfield 102. Nice simple steel peep that just looks right.

I don't have one for sale but I swear that the Lyman tang mounted peep is awesome on the 39 - practically designed just for it. The Lyman and Marlin companies were about 5 miles apart for the longest the time...
