Can anyone give me a "Blue Book" price on a late 60s, I bought used in 1970, Marlin Golden 39A Mountie? Serial # is AA317xx. I'd say condition is 95% or better. Thanks.

Asking price is quite different from sell price.

Mounties garner a premium and those in top condition are priced accordingly. A couple of months ago I talked to a guy that had three for sale. His rimfire and shotgun collection is filled with classics in superb condition. The Mounties ( going back to the 60's) and 94/22's (checkered and not) were as as close to new as one could expect. The gent during discussion was quite frank with his pricing in that he knew what he had and what he had in them. At best, I figured he would knock off $50/75 from his asking.

Now I've seen lower condition rifles that were priced too high and the outcome would be different but that's not what I'm looking for.

I suppose there may be Regional differences in pricing as well.
