I picked up a Marlin 39 Century LTD Lever Action .22 Rifle w/ octagon barrel in pretty good shape for a decent price ($450.00).

It's missing the stock Mendelian...

...which I've read it was common for these to fall off while hunting.

Looked at the gun parts suppliers and don't see any for sale.

Anyone know where one may be available?
I read where Marlin use to sell them, but can't seem to find any...

if it was mine, I'd chisel the coin off the side of the action, too.....and not worry about finding replacements.

I hear ya, but if I do that, I'd be left with a big recess on the side of the gun that Marlin machined there to hold that badge. I've read that their a bitch to get off the action without creating a mess on the action in that area.
If I don't find one for the stock, it ain't the end of the world. I just don't like the two holes that the brads left in an otherwise nice stock.

One good thing is that the gun shoots great !!

You got a great deal on that nice little rifle! Honestly, I think it looks better just plain...and I probably would have removed that jewelry myself. You could mix some walnut sawdust with epoxy and fill those two little holes.

it'll shoot just fine w/o it....here's mine....but
