How much different are the Mountie and the 39A?

Obviously the straight stock and lever which makes yours look slim and trim.
All my Marlins have been centerfire till now so I've got lots to learn about these.

I like the 20" Mounties....handle great..

just nice to fondle....shoot & clean & polish....
